Robbie Jay is a DJ and music producer born in Dublin and has been living in central London since 2005. Robbie started dj’ing at the age of 15 and has continued with the process ever since. He instantly fell in love with the feeling of mixing tracks, fully appreciating just how important track selection is within the journey of a mix, whether it be pre-produced or playing to a live crowd, and his ear for good music has brought Robbie Jay many a gig that span across cities through the UK and Europe. Starting of in the underground club scene in Dublin, Robbie has played House and Tech at The Red Box and The Pod, but along with staying true to his edgy, more underground roots, as he is playing funk and chill-out, which is why he has played a wide variety of events, from Turnmills, Pacha and Ministry of Sound in London.and has gone on to work the sunset strip in Ibiza, along with being booked for various boat parties and exclusive villa parties on the White Isle. His cool style and good understanding of how to work the crowd has not only earned him bookings in London, Dublin and Ibiza, but also Paris, Bordeaux, Hamburg and Budapest.

 

He is just as comfortable staying true to his edgy, more underground, House roots, as he is playing funk and chill-out, which is why he has played a wide variety of events, from Turnmills, Pacha and Ministry of Sound in London. He has catered to the fashion and media worlds in member’s parties at Home House in Mayfair, The Hospital Club in Covent Garden, Pangea in Park Lane and Soho House in Soho. His eclectic musical taste and style varies from deep and tech House, but likes listening to 70’s funk, 80’s electro music and 90’s hip-hop and some old skool Trance when the mood takes him. Having such an open mind to music is evident in his sets.
